We also partner with our florists to donate flowers after our events to hospitals and nursing homes. Morgan Childs is named the top wedding planner in Hawaii and got her start in event planning 17 years ago working in one of the principal firms in NYC producing high profile events for A-list clients. After finding her passion in event design and planning, Morgan moved back to her home state in 2007 to open Moana Events, bringing her distinct sense of style and passion for expert execution to Hawaii. Since opening, Moana Events has produced many beautiful destination weddings, notable celebrity affairs, large scale corporate events and memorable social occasions. Most recently the brand has expanded to include Modern Elopement, a luxury elopement wedding experience for smaller guest counts. In her spare time, Morgan can be found spontaneously re-decorating her home, reading a book or listening to podcasts, paddle-boarding in the ocean or planning her next trip to Paris to get inspired.

Jennifer has been with Moana Events for over four years and in that time has become an invaluable part of our team. She is the expert in execution and innovation and keeps our events organized and original. Whether it is creating a custom 3D floor plan to scale or making sure that every payment is on time, she has a talent for meticulous planning. Her infectious laugh and unflappable demeanor make her the perfect person to have onsite on your big day. No task is too big or too small for this event professional and creative solutions are her forte. This social butterfly enjoys her time off with friends, loves a costume party or a good dress code, won’t turn down a scary movie and is quite the champagne connoisseur.

Nicole Berriman

Kayleigh joined Moana Events two years ago as an Event Coordinator and the head of our Modern Elopement brand. Her enthusiasm for her work is contagious and she genuinely loves all aspects of event planning, but design and details are her specialty. Whether it is putting together style guides for our clients or coming up with the perfect napkin fold, she delights in the details. As our resident elopement expert, nothing makes her happier than witnessing a wedding ceremony or gushing with her couples over their engagement stories. When Kayleigh is not in the office, this girl loves adventure! You will find her rock climbing, hiking, at the beach or just exploring Hawaii with her dog Herman by her side.

Nicole is the newest member of the Modern Elopement team. She loves everything about elopements and weddings; from helping her couples choose the perfect signature location and guiding them through the planning process, to being onsite with them and watching them enjoy their unforgettable day. When she is not working, Nicole loves to travel and you could definitely say she is a world-traveler - she has visited 30 countries and lived on 4 continents! When she is not at the studio or onsite at an elopement, you can find her plotting her next big trip or dreaming about an upcoming destination.

Our Studio

Our studio is located in Honolulu, Hawaii and we love our bright and light-filled space in the heart of paradise. This is where we get inspired each and every day to go to work designing and coordinating beautiful events.

We love meeting with our couples in person here over a glass of bubbly and collaborating with our favorite vendors to dream up something exciting and new. Gracie, our resident office mascot will happily run to greet you when you walk in the door and serves as our official cuddler and studio stress-reliver.
